Just as we were saying farewell to 2021, we got some very happy news about a project grant we had applied for. There’s an amazing group of like minded and proactive folks at The Threadhead Cultural Foundation who have generously been funding music projects for over 10 years. They are based in New Orleans and have members all over the country. We are beyond honored to have received this grant to finally self publish our nonfiction, hardcover book for the culturally curious family and children of all ages! We have long dreamt of finishing our manuscript, selecting the perfect images from thousands of photos and having a local Creole artist illustrate. Well, we don’t have to wait any longer. Nonfiction books for families are very important and there are none that tell the history of Creole culture and zydeco. A thousand thanks to this organization for their generosity and faith in us.
