We are thrilled to announce a return to Ukraine July 26-August 2 directly following the 2 week tour to Russia! The love affair with the fine people of Ukraine, and our US Embassy staff began in 2012 when the group was there (Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk) to represent the U.S. for “America Days”. They went on to Tbilisi, Georgia after Ukraine where they were also greeted with enthusiasm for all things American – including American roots music! Even the 20 somethings dug the music-which is not always the case in the US. Blues & jazz musicians have long been touring the world to appreciative audiences – when often in the US they could not always get in front of the larger audiences who valued their contributions. Ukrainian people are warm, grateful and proud of their accomplishments as an independent country. They have great admiration and respect for the U.S., as we do for them. They have endured a great deal of struggle since we were there last in 2012 and we are looking forward to showing them solidarity and respect.
