Once again this remarkable organization shows the world that: 1. Black American Roots Music does matter and 2. the performing arts in our country can be equitable for all, including BIPOC artists.
We are extremely grateful to the grant review panelists for approving our USArtists International application for funding of travel expenses for an upcoming performances at the 48th Bern Jazz Festival in Bern, Switzerland. We are forever in awe of the ongoing support they have given us and so many other groups/ensembles across all performing arts disciplines.
We also thank Music Export Memphis for being our fiscal agent. Under the leadership of our friend Elizabeth Cawein, this org is doing some amazing work for Memphis based artists. We have a deep connection to Memphis too, so it was a very good fit – plus they are really easy to work with, just like MAAF.
