New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Gala April 24, 2014

Terrance joins line-up to celebrate Buckwheat Zydeco! The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation hook is “When the Festival is over, our work is just beginning. They do amazing work and we support them with modest annual donations because for 28 consecutive years they have supported us by featuring our music alongside the other music Louisiana is so well known for all over the globe. They have a dedicated stage at Jazzfest for zydeco and Cajun Music. Although Terrance and his band mates have shared the same main stage with the likes of the Meters, Phish, Carlos Santana, Allen Toussaint, Better Than Ezra, Cowboy Mouth, Ozomatli, etc. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation is in many ways the ultimate Social Aid and Pleasure Club — that unique type of New Orleans organization whose purpose is to promote, preserve, perpetuate and celebrate the joy and well-being of its own community. This year’s entertainment theme is “Zydeco and All That Jazz: A Lifetime Tribute to Buckwheat Zydeco.” In addition to the legendary Stanley “Buckwheat Zydeco” Dural, our stellar roster of performers features a who’s who of zydeco greats paying tribute to our honoree, including Terrance Simien, C.J. Chenier, Nathan Williams, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr., Rosie Ledet and Li’l Buck Sinegal. The Gala offers top-notch entertainment, often featuring artists not appearing at Jazz Fest. Past headliners have included Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, B. B. King and Nancy Wilson, Fats Domino, Smokey Robinson, Bonnie Raitt, Natalie Cole, Dr. John, Al Jarreau, Little Richard and many others. We applaud the foundation for their work and for this amazing opportunity to showcase Buck and our music genre!
