Top Ten Versions of Pressure Drop

So, a couple months back, this happened.  A music blogger from Ireland, The Extreme Music Enthusiast posted their Top Ten versions of Toots and the Maytals, Pressure Drop and really humbled to report that our version made the list. Big thanks to the EME for this.

For us, Frederick “Toots’ Hibbert was a master with a glorious spirit. We have always been inspired by him and reggae music. If you ever feel compelled, find some of his interviews on YouTube and you too will feel his light beaming bright. Such a beautiful soul.

We actually got to share a bill with him in Hollywood, FL on the beach at an event raising money for Hurricane Katrina. And of course we also had the immense pleasure of touring  for a month, with another master and monster gentleman, Robert Palmer who also made the list. His cover songs were epic and exquisite and he delivered them with respect and conviction.

Def fun, totally cool and just in time for the Blues Cruise, y’all! Take a listen the version we recorded for Dockside Sessions on our music player on the home page here. In the meantime, we’ll be digging up some of our favs on this list as well.
