What another memorable week of community and togetherness, music, Creole and Black culture in America.
After all we are a nation of diverse cultures that make this country so incredibly beautiful and unique. We are constantly learning more about ourselves as a country, and our students have access to so much more information than ever before. We are part of that dissemination of information.
With each student performance of Creole 4 Kidz! that these performing art centers/schools present, we are giving these young people access to history and Black culture in America that is not taught in their classrooms. Many have only experienced Louisiana culture in a Disney film or experienced on a Disney ride! Not gonna lie, we are massively grateful to Disney for that – exposing millions to our culture.
This was a mini – residency at the Wharton Center for Performing Arts, University of Michigan in East Lansing, MI.
There was this below – four school time performances.
There was also a Creole cooking demo, and that too was a blast.
We had the great pleasure of working with over 2000 remarkable students, teachers and the most incredible staff at Wharton Center for Performing Arts!
It was most definitely another unforgettable Zydeco Experience for us!
